This method upholds data confidentiality while ensuring its authenticity. Jay White, co-founder and research head of Space and Time, emphasizes that the open-sourcing of their GPU accelerator, named Blitzar, is aimed at fostering “faster, more robust ZK-proofs.” Blitzar assists in offloading demanding computational tasks to GPUs, significantly enhancing the efficiency of ZK-proof generation. The framework is specifically tailored for GPUs, known for their proficiency in handling complex computational tasks like those involved in ZK-proof generation.
Blitzar focuses on optimizing multi-scalar multiplication, a critical and resource-intensive aspect of producing a ZK-proof. By enhancing this process, Blitzar contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of ZK-proof generation.
Space and Time has integrated structured query language (SQL) programming functionality into smart contract blockchains using ZK-proof technology. Their proprietary Proof of SQL ZK-proof tool is designed to generate SNARK cryptographic proofs, ensuring the integrity and authenticity of data queries in their decentralized network. This tool enables decentralized applications (DApps) to securely and privately verify data queries and rollups.
The technology developed by Space and Time, particularly Proof of SQL, offers secure and tamper-proof data solutions for blockchain services, advanced computing, artificial intelligence, and large language models. The company has partnered with NVIDIA, using their GPUs for the Proof of SQL, and Blitzar’s development has greatly benefited from this collaboration. Proof of SQL is rapidly evolving, with recent developments showing sub-second runtimes. Although still in alpha, it has already been adopted by several Space and Time customers.
