Illuvium council member Deraji pointed out that the community made their stand and highlighted that the event risks the reputation that the DAO worked hard to build.
The community supporting Illuvium, an interoperable blockchain game, demonstrated the power of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) after blocking the launch of a non-fungible token (NFT) between Illuvium CEO Kieran Warwick, and Arrows Capital (3AC) founder Su Zhu.
Warwick is set to Zhu in the “Illuvitars D1sk Influencer Battle,” where crypto celebrities compete to unlock NFT packages. However, due to the conflicts between Zhu and 3AC, the people of Illuvium have expressed concern about the dangers inherent in Zhu, who is currently facing various accusations of immorality.
The president of Illuvium also suggested that their board hold a vote on the matter. Counts Surprise this, the council voted without points to revoke an event to avoid any fellowships and zhu.
According to the Memorial makes the congregation, Converition, Conversation, the project works to be leadership in Government in Grantvan3. In order to achieve this, the project must “avoid any interaction with negative people and activities that can prevent the adoption of the main ones.” Deraji explained further:
“In this case, the community has made their voices heard that this incident could damage the reputation that the DAO has worked so hard to build. We used our political system to prevent our most famous person from sharing a team with Zhu sports.
After hearing the voice of the community, the president of Illuvium accepted the results and expressed his confidence and belief in the community’s decision. “After weighing the pros and cons, I will always respect the council’s decision,” he said.
Speaking further on the issue, Warwick told Cointelegraph that the DAO can make any decisions made by the project. “We tried to avoid situations like this by considering it in advance, but some things are affected by time so it’s a very special thing,” he added.
The DAO’s decision not to involve 3AC in the risk may save them from possible consequences. On February 10, 3AC-related crypto exchange projects sparked a backlash from members of the crypto community. The release angered many people, with some vowing not to use the change.
Meanwhile, members of the community are also expressing their disapproval of Zhu for his role in the 3AC withdrawal. On January 3, the founder of 3AC launched a lawsuit against Digital Currency Group, alleging that he conspired with FTX to target Terra. However, members of the community called Zhu and asked him to focus on his own mistakes.
