Logan Paul has deleted his response video aimed at Coffeezilla and apologized in a surprising U-turn.
YouTuber Logan Paul has deleted a video in which he threatened to shoot Internet journalist Stephen “Coffeezilla” Findeisen for a three-part series describing Paul’s CryptoZoo project as a “scam”.
According to Coffezilla in a January 6 tweet, Paul promised to drop his threat to file a defamation lawsuit over the videos. Logan called me. He said he was deleting both responses and dropping the threat of a lawsuit. I believe it answers the third question, and I will delay my video to include it. Hopefully this time he takes action and pays the victims of CryptoZoo.
Sharing a screenshot from the CryptoZoo Discord server, Findeisen also showed a message from Paul confirming that he had deleted his original response to the Coffeezilla video series and apologized. It reads: “It was unintentional and there was a trust issue at hand, so I called him today and apologized.”
“The war is not coffee. I really appreciate him for bringing this to light. I will take responsibility, apologize and come up with a plan shortly” Paul added.
At the time of writing, Paul’s Jan. 3 video responses to the Coffeezilla allegations have been removed from YouTube. A tweet pointing to the video is still available, as was its original December release. 23 post calls the allegation “Not true”.
The two YouTubers started a war of words when Coffeezilla released the first of a series of three videos on Dec. 17 accusing CryptoZoo of many wrongdoings and calling Paul, the face of the project. In his now-deleted response video to Coffeezilla, Paul accused Coffeezilla of defamation, adding “I’ll see you in court.”
Coffeezilla said in their letter that Paul may be “responding to a third party”, but at the time of writing, neither Paul nor Coffeezilla had commented further on the matter.
