OpenAI, the organization behind the artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT, has launched ChatGPT Enterprise, a version of the chatbot that is reportedly faster, more secure, and more potent for businesses.
In a blog post dated Aug. 28, the company clarified that ChatGPT Enterprise provides unrestricted access to GPT-4 with up to double the speed and the capability to handle 32,000 token context windows for inputs. Given that one token is equivalent to approximately four characters of English text, the 32,000 model can process nearly 24,000 words of text in a single input, which is about four times more than the standard GPT-4.
OpenAI highlighted that ChatGPT Enterprise also enhances the privacy and security standards of GPT-4 as it does not utilize company data for training its OpenAI models and is compliant with SOC 2, a standard for managing customer data. OpenAI revealed that the enterprise product was introduced due to the “unprecedented demand” for ChatGPT products since its inception on Nov. 30, with more than 80% of Fortune 500 companies incorporating the AI tool to some extent. The company elaborated:
“[Companies] are employing ChatGPT to create more precise communications, expedite coding tasks, quickly investigate answers to intricate business queries, aid in creative endeavors, and much more.”
Additionally, OpenAI is developing a self-serve business tool that will allow ChatGPT to expand its knowledge base to a company’s data. Cryptocurrency firms persist in exploring AI as a solution for a multitude of challenges, ranging from combating climate change to enhancing transparency in the music industry to safeguarding data privacy on the blockchain.
