US crypto exchange Coinbase is turning a foreign and American media campaign focused on the “crucial” role that crypto will play in modernizing the global financial system.
In a May 22 blog post, the company outlined its plans for a new “Moving America Forward” campaign, which will begin with four different campaigns featuring Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong. These will be premiered on the “popular Sunday show” on US television, and some will appear during commercial breaks of the NBA Finals.
“Coinbase is launching Crypto: Moving America Forward, a national campaign to explain the critical role of crypto as the underlying technology that will revolutionize the global financial system,” the company said. The campaign will also focus on the introduction of crypto and Blockchain abroad in countries such as China, as the company wants to highlight that “the global economic and national security leadership of the United States is at risk that will be at the heart of the global financial infrastructure.
These campaigns are called The History of Money Initiative, Stand with Crypto Day, Real People Using Crypto for Real Needs, and the State of Crypto Summit, each airing over four separate weeks.
The History of Money Initiative campaign “traces the timeline of money, from the invention of goats to 10,000 BC truck-turned billboards.
The Crypto Day campaign will promote an upcoming room-focused event sponsored by the company. The event will take place on July 19 in Washington D.C. and will include members of the crypto community supporting “friendly policies and their members in Congress.”
The last two campaigns, Real People Using Crypto for Real Needs and the State Crypto Summit, will cover how people are using crypto to “pursue economic freedom” and promote Coinbase’s next event in New York on June 22.
The latest announcement follows a similar announcement this year from Coinbase that focused on the theme of modernizing fintech through cryptocurrency. In March, the company posted an ad via YouTube titled “Time to improve the financial system,” while also running an ad during the NFL Super Bowl in February 2022 with a scan able QR code which took users to the BTC offer promotion page.

The group’s mission is to navigate the “complex and volatile” global crypto landscape. While in February, he also launched a US-focused political campaign called “#Crypto435,” which aims to raise the voice of crypto users in all 435 regions.
