Allegedly, the X user scaredofboobs is said to be the same person as the scammer NFT Machine, as reported by on-chain investigator ZachXBT. ZachXBT claimed in his official Telegram channel on December 28 that “X/Twitter User scaredofboobs is a scammer known as NFT Machine.”
NFT Machine previously operated an X (formerly Twitter) account linked to the founder of OpenFT, a decentralized marketplace project, but it was suspended for violating platform rules. The account was reportedly managed by Tyler Gaye, a doxxed American citizen based in Denver, according to a February 2022 thread by crypto investor Shual and a LocalToday news report citing BusinessDen as its source.
Investors filed a lawsuit against Gaye, accusing him of creating a fraudulent scheme to raise funds for an NFT marketplace (OpeNFT) and then misusing the funds for personal NFT acquisitions, including items from the MoonCats collection. A default judgment was issued against Gaye, ordering him to repay $275,000 to investors.
ZachXBT’s December 18 post asserted that Tyler Gaye is also the X user scaredofboobs, who is known for publishing open-source code related to Solana smart contract development and developing the retro gaming platform Gamegear. Despite the court order, ZachXBT claimed that Gaye has not repaid investors and has continued to initiate new crypto projects, citing the example of the ArcadeDAO retro gaming project.
While there were no explicit examples of the X account scaredofboobs promoting crypto investments, it has been associated with references to open-source Solana projects. ZachXBT, known for his research on SIM-swap attacks, deactivated his X account on December 24, leading to impersonators creating fake accounts. Although the account has been reactivated, no posts have been made since December 18. ZachXBT’s December 28 post exposing scaredofboobs was made on Telegram and not cross-published to X.
